






Substance Designer & Painter Studies
CGMA: Fundamentals of Substance for Environment Art - Fall 2021
In Fundamentals of Substance for Environment Art, students learned to create both both pattern based and organic materials through breaking down the height map and normal before learning color and roughness textures. Students then focused on the asset texturing pipeline in Designer before moving into prop texturing using Substance Painter.
In the course, multiple materials were created, including a parametric brick smart material, as well as rusted metal and a rubber material that was utilized to create a scene in Marmoset.
